Routine & Preventative Treatment
A comprehensive evaluation of oral health. This includes reviewing x-rays, physically assessing the condition of the oral cavity, and an open discussion with the patient regarding symptoms, concerns and treatment options.
Performed annually, biannually, or as needed—in order to assess the health of the teeth and underlying structures.
Recommended biannually for most healthy mouths, this includes complete removal of plaque, stain and hard deposits (tartar or calculus) that would otherwise cause harm to the teeth and gums. The teeth are then flossed and polished.
For children, 14 years and under, or those with a high rate of cavities.
A Sodium Fluoride Varnish is applied to the teeth. Upon contact with saliva, the varnish becomes hardened to the teeth. The longer it is in contact with the tooth structure, the more cavity-resistant the tooth will become. It is usually almost completely gone by bedtime that evening.
A protective plastic coating that is applied to adult molars as they grow in—usually around 6 years, and again at 12 years old.
This plastic fills the deep grooves that make up the chewing surface of back teeth—in effect, protecting them from bacterial contamination—and eventual cavities!
These can last anywhere from 5 – 15 years!

Restorative Treatment
We will take you from start to finish through the implant process after placing the implant...
A conservative option for treating dental decay.
All fillings are performed with a tooth-colored composite material that is carefully matched to the existing tooth structure.
Old metal (amalgam) fillings are also routinely replaced with this composite material. Not only does this make for a more natural looking smile, but it aids in the prevention of broken teeth.
A conservative alternative to a crown—or “capping a tooth”.
When a cavity has gotten big enough to cause a part of the tooth to break away...a ceramic inlay (or onlay) is constructed in our lab and then bonded to the missing part of the tooth.
These are used when more than one tooth needs to be replaced—usually 2 or more teeth that are right next to each other.
Dentures
When a patient is missing teeth, and for whatever reason does not want or can not have implants or a bridge put in, this is a good alternative.
A removable appliance, (similar to a retainer) that replaces missing teeth.

Endodontics
Having a root canal has come to be known as torturous. However, at Tosch Dental, we seek to alleviate some of the hassles associated with such a procedure.
Dr. Tosch is one of the few General Dentists who perform the majority of his own root canals. As a result, most of our patients are able to have the procedure, as well as, the restorative crown placed in 2 appointments—as opposed to having to go to a specialist, and then finding a General Dentist to place a crown (at least 3 appointments).
Crowns
Our office is proud to offer the best options when a patient is in need of a crown.

CEREC — All Porcelain
We are one of the few offices to offer this type of in-house technology. These are usually limited to the front teeth because they are (1) more esthetically pleasing, and (2) not as strong to withstand the chewing pressure put on back teeth.

The most common type of crown. Used for decades, they are highly functional and last a long time.
Having his own in-house lab, Dr. Tosch has become an extraordinary asset to his denture-wearing patients.
He is able to fully construct dentures for first time wearers (placing them immediately), as well as, offer same-day relines, adjustments and maintenance.
